Karen has been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years and has held a variety of positions within numerous areas including Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement, Risk Management, and Emergency Room Nursing.

With over 15 of these years being in home-care and hospice. she has held a number of positions from field nurse to multi-site director of award-winning agencies. In addition, Ms. Meserve has also started a successful home-care and hospice agency for a proprietary company as well as proficiently assisting many prior consulting clients to achieve their Medicare certification and either JCAHO or CHAP deemed status.

As a Consultant, Ms. Meserve assisted her clients in developing and implementing their various clinical and quality processes, coaching agency staff on home healthcare and general administration issues, as well as providing education and training to the staff on various Medicare and Management topics. In addition, she has developed and implemented an extensive agency assessment process, which provides detailed feedback with regards to survey readiness, as well as areas for improvement.

Ms. Meserve obtained her BSN from Mercy College of Detroit, followed by her MBA from Wayne State University. ln addition. she has also obtained her Certification in Home-care Coding and is a Certified Trainer and Facilitator through Development Dimensions International. She has presented at numerous national conferences, including the NAHC meeting, IHI National Meeting, and the Catholic Healthcare Systems Annual Meeting.
